No wonder that those people who are searching for Gmail in Google, clicked this button.

Form send the mail to the address of David Peck

The editors of TechCrunch found on the Internet a summary of David Peck and called him at the number listed to ask how many emails he received per day. He replied that a few thousand, but almost all of them were empty, although some contained text like "Who are you?" and "Why I write?".

"Letters have come in 500 pieces per hour, there's nothing I could do about it," said the victim of the spam.

Mail flow started the day before, January 24. David deleted all emails in the evening but in the morning the box, it was 1900 new. He got in touch with Hotmail technical support. For obvious reasons he asked them to answer your backup email address that you registered with Gmail.

Google confirmed the fact of inclusion in search results, "some personal email addresses" and said that it has nothing to do with a software bug that caused the January 25 off most web services for a period of from 25 to 60 minutes (different users in different ways), including disabling Gmail. As stated in technical incident report, the reason for the shutdown of the servers was a software fault internal system that generates configuration files. Within 15 minutes incorrect configuration has spread to servers that are working.
