garage48 for the first time in Kiev!
this weekend, Kiev will host a very cool event Garage48 — the idea is that for two days to create a startup. In the “create “ includes everything needed to present your business idea, qualify, technically, to bring it to life, and then be able to sell it to strict spectator and wise mentors.
This event was invented in Estonia and has already managed to visit many countries of the world. Finally, Garage 48 has reached the Ukraine: from 11th to 13th may we occupy the Library of KPI, which is located on the Avenue Victory 37 and start enjoying foreign mentors (they will guide you in the right direction to create a startup and guide you on the right path, if you go into the jungle), as well as the company of their colleagues and event organizers — representatives of Garage48 Foundation And IT DOU-activist Vicky Zorbas.
On Friday we will get acquainted with the ideas of the participants, will select the best ideas and form teams. Saturday morning will see which team survived and not collapsed during the night and during the day each team will have the luck to talk to our mentors and to get a good shot of advice. The Sunday lunch we will start active training participants to pitcam. And in the evening we will see the results of work of young businessmen and the jury will choose the winner. Important: Garage48 says only English, so be prepared for what they heard a few Russian words at the event, especially in the presentation of ideas, communication with mentors, judges and organizers.
In the cosy library of KPI you a delicious meal, jobs, Wi-Fi, and nostalgia for student years :) Most avid startups can stay for the night, but there is one small minus — in the library, no soul.
But then we'd spoil you “Goodies” you will have the opportunity to chat with the guys from the company Yandex (our General partner), people from the company Skype (you can easily find them at 15:00, 11.05.12 in the Library building), and TA Venture and Microsoft.
